Lumigon T3 premium smartphone boasts of special Scandinavian design

lumigon-t3Not all smartphones are created equal, although there are some models out there which do seem to look a whole lot more appealing than the others. The recently introduced iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are definitely beautiful devices in their own right, but does that mean that Apple has an exclusive claim to aesthetics in consumer electronics? Not quite, as Lumigon has proven with their T3 smartphone. The Lumigon T3 is a premium smartphone that boasts of a Scandinavian design that simply oozes with class.

Available in stores in Netherlands, Russia, Dubai and at airports around the world, it is certainly not the easiest handset to get hold of, although when you do, you would not be disappointed. The Lumigon T3 gets even more exclusive when you pick it up from Dubai in the form of the 24-karat gold edition, making this double up as a piece of jewellery.

What makes the Lumigon T3 smartphone so special? For starters, it will boast of minimalistic Scandinavian design with a durable steel exterior, while you also get to enjoy innovative features such as a night vision camera as well as the special BackTouch technology that has not debuted anywhere else. On the outside lies scratch and damage resistant glass, with both the front and back of the smartphone comprising of Corning Gorilla Glass. This helps make sure that the 4.8” HD Super AMOLED Diamond display will not end up spoiled by screen cracks.

Underneath the hood lies a speedy 2.2 GHz 64 bit 8-core processor, accompanied by 3GB of RAM with Android 6.0 Marshmallow in tow. There will be 128 GB of internal storage to help you get started right out of the box, with a dual SIM card slot to boot. At the back lies a 4K HD, while the front facing 2K HD camera will have an innovative FrontFlash for perfect selfies even when it is dark all around. The Lumigon T3 is not going to come cheap though, with an asking price of 645 Euros.

Massive Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, Legends Crossover Gets Title, Plus a Killer Lineup Photo

screen-shot-2016-10-03-at-12-29-05-pm

With the advent of Fall came the premiere of several of our favorite CW superhero shows. After decent amounts of buildup from all heroes involved, we’re on the cusp of a massive television crossover. FlashSupergirlArrow, and Legends of Tomorrow are all joining together in a weeklong crossover event beginning on November 29th. Thanks to a chat between Arrow producer Marc Guggenheim and ComicBook.com, we now know that each of the crossover episodes will also share a common title: “Invasion!” Yes, that totally includes the exclamation point as well.

Guggenheim said of the titles:

Arrow episode 508 is called ‘Invasion!’ with the exclamation point. And Legends of Tomorrow 207 is going to be ‘Invasion!’. I’ll leave it up to you to guess what The Flash is called.

Obviously there’s plenty to be stoked about, seeing as how this’ll be one of the (hopefully not rare) occasions in which we’ll get to see all of the CW’s heroes fighting together.

But who will they be fighting? Apparently the crossover will echo the Dominators storyline from the comic books, wherein an alien race invades (get it) Earth to cull the growing meta-/superhuman population. Already we’re seeing Supergirl showing how the resentment of meta-humans has played out amongst the non-meta-human population, with the people of Project Cadmus fomenting hatred and even outright rebellion against Kara and her allies.

The addition of Supergirl to this universe is especially notable as she’s something of a new kid on the block, having only just premiered on The CW after crossing over from CBS. Everybody else, though–Flash, Arrow, the Legends, and everyone around them–they’re all pretty solidly familiar with each other, as crossovers are a pretty regular occurrence in the Berlanti-verse.

Speaking of being stoked, here’s a fun promo photo to keep the fires burning (via CBR):

Yup. In case you need a breakdown, the heroes present in that photo are: Ragman (Arrow, Joe Dinicol), The Flash (The Flash, Grant Gustin), director James Bamford, Mister Terrific (Arrow, Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (Arrow, Rick Gonzalez), and (of course) Supergirl (Supergirl, Melissa Benoist).

Will you be checking out the weeklong event starting on November 29th?

Megaupload 2.0 secures financing

Megaupload, once the world’s largest file sharing site before it was taken down by the FBI, may make a comeback soon as the financing for Megaupload 2.0 has been secured recently.

The funding campaign managed to reach the the minimum investment goal of €918.611 before it ended on October 24, 2016 with a total investment volume of €1.060.354.

Pitched by and associated with the notorious Kim Dotcom, Megaupload 2.0 aims to revolutionize file sharing. Bitcache Limited, the company behind the project promises to provide the technology needed to “share files safely, securely, and away from prying eyes”.

Technically speaking, Bitcache is a micro-transaction service that utilizes Bitcoin and the Blockchain. Transactions will occur off the chain according to Bitcache due to limitations in regards to how many transactions the Blockchain can handle, but are re-introduced for instance when users want to withdraw funds.

megaupload 2.0

Another thing that is special about Megaupload 2.0 is that users get a Bitcoin Wallet automatically on sign-up, and that Bitcache is then used for the transactions.

It is unclear right now if users will have to pay for any transaction they make, and how much it would cost them to do so.

Ideas for future Bitcache services show however that the system could be expanded in the future to take into account video streaming, news posts, traffic or micro-payments.

The Bitcache team plans to release Megaupload 2.0 in January 2017.  Success may depend largely on how the system works, and whether it requires all users to add funds to their wallet first before they can do anything, or if there will be free options available as well.

If all transactions require funds, say file uploads or downloads, then it is likely that Megaupload 2.0 won’t come close to the popularity of Megaupload or Mega, another file sharing service that Kim Dotcom pushed and then moved away from.

One of the interesting questions that arises from the successful campaign is whether users will trust Kim Dotcom a third time with a file sharing service. While Mega is still in operation, Kim stated in 2015 that the service was not secure to use anymore. Considering that Mega was his project, it is only fair to assume that users may have a hard time believing that things will be different when Megaupload 2.0 launches.

Now You: What’s your take on Megaupload 2.0?
